The Holder lab works on the statistical and computational aspects of phylogenetic and phylogeographic inference.
Our (temporary) move to HITS in Heidelberg Germany
We are very excited to be visiting the Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies (HITS) for the Fall of 2014 and Spring of 2015. Mark is on sabbatical there; Emily Jane was awarded a prestigious von Humboldt Research Fellowship to visit; and Tracy will be coming out for a visit before her faculty position at Iowa State begins.
We are very grateful to KU's sabbatical program, the Exelixis lab at HITS, and HITS itself (for funding support via its visiting scientist program, giving us a warm welcome to Heidelberg, and providing an excellent working environment for interdisciplinary research). Derrick might even make it out (though by then he'll be a former lab member who is working on a different project with Alexis). We're trying to find a time for Liam to come over for a visit, too.
